This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land; Photography by Don Normark; Issues of Eminent Domain

In 1948, Don Normark photographed Chavez Ravine, a striking area of three Mexican-American neighborhoods less than two miles from Los Angeles City Hall. The year after Normark made his photographs, the land was given to Walter O'Malley, who was seeking a new home for his Brooklyn Dodgers, the stadium that now occupies the land. Normark's photographs of the once beautiful Ravine and its people, stand as a testament to the community that once flourished on 'this land'

2009 Regents' Distinguished Alumnus Award: Dwight Damon, DDS, MSD

Join President Floyd and the Board of Regents as Dr. Damon is honored with the Regents' Distinguished Alumnus Award, the highest honor the University bestows on our alumni. The award presentation and public address "Creating Innovation through the Pursuit of Excellence" is open to everyone. A reception will follow in the CUB Ballroom.
A pioneer in the practice and technology of orthodontic dentistry, Dr. Damon has worked for more than 30 years to improve the quality of orthodontic treatment. He developed the Damon passive self-ligating bracket system, a low-friction, low-force treatment, that is being used to enhance smiles worldwide.

Discover animals that have lost teeth through evolution and how they take in food. Teeth can become problems in the natural world - see the twists they can take in rodents and horses.

This Feast of the Arts will tantalize all your senses.
